Yosemite Valley Tunnel View

This photo was taken in late fall in Yosemite Valley after a good rain with snow in the higher elevations so the waterfalls were running well. This vantage point of Yosemite Valley shows El Capitan on the left, Half Dome center (far), and Bridalveil Fall on the right.

On average, about 4 million people visit Yosemite each year and most spend the majority of their time in the 7 square miles of Yosemite Valley. But the entire Yosemite National Park covers an area of 1,168 square miles and lies within the boundaries of four California counties.
