Lake Louise Reflection Panorama

Our panorama photos are made using 4 to 5 separate vertical exposures that we "stitch" together side by side to get a very high resolution final image.

Lake Louise is so heavily visited that you have to come very early in the morning to get a photo with the lake this still. It is well worth the effort though. There are trails that lead around this beautiful lake that get you away from the crowds and the large Chatteau / Lodge at the entrance to the area. One trail that is a "must take" is the one to the Lake Agnes Tea House. It takes you well above Lake Louise and offers many wonderful vistas.

One of the most striking things about these lakes that get their water from ancient glaciers is the color of the water. You don't see it in this particular photo because the lake was so "mirror" smooth and reflected the mountains, forest and glacier. But you will see this "glacier water" that looks like the lake is a swimming pool in other photos in this gallery.
