Arches Panorama #1

Our panorama photos are made using 4 to 5 separate vertical exposures that we "stitch" together side by side to get a very high resolution final image.

This one was taken at Arches National Park in Utah. Arches lies on top of a deep underground salt bed called the Paradox Formation that is responsible for the arches, spires, balanced rocks, fins and eroded monoliths common throughout the park.

Canyonlands, just a few miles away, is another "must experience" national park if you're in the area! Also, just a two hour drive South and East will take you to Mesa Verde National Park, the home of the 800 to 1000 year old Ancestral Cliff Dwellings (formerly know as Anasazi Cliff Dwellings).

Our two weeks in the area were graced with varied and often dramatic cloud formations
