This panorama photo was taken at one of our favorite astronomy photo sites. At 8000 feet in the White Mountains in California the skies are dark and often the "seeing" is very good for deep sky photography. This winter daytime photo shows the spectacular, snow covered High Sierra range just across the Owens Valley and Highway 395.
